Save money with automatic pH measuring points

The latest generation of automatic pH measuring points have brought pH measurement into a completely new cost range. pH sensors had
previously been considered costly to operate as the electrode had to be regularly serviced, cleaned, calibrated and even replaced.
That is now all a thing of the past. A cost comparison between automatic and manual pH measuring points is thus worth the effor
t. Two representative case studies are presented here. The two cases describe different drivers to cost. On the one hand we have
high servicing costs because of the high demand for calibration and cleaning, and on the other hand there are high replacement c
osts because of the frequent requirement to replace the pH electrode. In conclusion, an Excel program that is universally applicab
the calculation of pH measuring point costs is explained.
